I visited a local charity that helps people recover from heart attacks.
I went to Action Heart based at Russells Hall Hospital last week after a constituent who volunteers at the charity suggested I should visit.
Action Heart is funded by an NHS contract and fundraisers and is a cardiac rehabilitation programme operating since 1978. It caters to a wide range of ages and is a purpose-built facility to help people recover from heart attacks.
There are more than 700 patients being looked after at any one time for up to 12 months.
I was pleased to come and visit this excellent charity that is doing so much good work to help people recover from a heart attack and other conditions.
Such a recovery can take some time and it is vitally important that support, advice and treatment is available. Many thanks to the staff and volunteers who do this for the people of Stourbridge.
