It's finally here - the 2022 Commonwealth Games right here in the West Midlands!
The opening of the games last night blew me away, it was phenomenal. I was so proud of the important messages, the inclusivity, the integration of para-sport and the fact it was all about the Midlands.
Our home games. Very very proud and especially of all those from the constituency who took part. 
I am more than thrilled and excited that the games are in the Midlands. I used to compete at the Alexander Stadium at club and county level (way back when - see if you can spot me in the picture below) and I can't wait to see the transformation of the stadium and the legacy it will bring to many young people and aspiring athletes.
