Once again I met with superfast broadband installer BRSK for an update on its work in the town.
I chatted with chief executive Giorgio Iovino and head of the midland regions for the company Laura Richardson in my office on Friday.
BRSK is currently installing telegraph poles across Dudley Borough to increase broadband coverage but there have been problems.
However, the number of complaints to my office had fallen.
BRSK has committed to improvements in its engagement processes and lots of complaints have been resolved.
The company has also held various town hall meetings to engage with the community.
We also discussed BRSK supporting local community initiatives.
I would like to thank Giorgio and Laura for coming to my office to update me on the company’s work and its engagement with local people.
It quickly recognised it didn’t get it right at times but it has shown it has listened and the situation has improved. It should be given credit for this honest approach.
The fact is what it is doing is going to make a huge difference to internet speeds in our town and it is important work.
