Easing of COVID-19 Restrictions
I welcome the Government’s decision to end Plan B restrictions over the coming week.
From today, people are no longer advised to work from home and face coverings are no longer advised for both staff and pupils in classrooms.
From Thursday next week, face coverings will no longer be required by law and venues will no longer be required to use the NHS Covid Pass.
This has been made possible by the success of the booster programme, with over 30 million booster jabs given to over 80% of eligible adults in England to date. Vaccinations remain our best defence against COVID-19 and I encourage those eligible to get theirs if they haven’t already.
