This week the UK has announced a range of measures to support Ukraine, increase our defence spending, and bolster NATO’s defences.
These include:
- £1 billion in additional military aid for Ukraine.
- Commitment to raising defence spending to 2.5% of GDP by 2030.
- Increasing our contribution of troops and weaponry to NATO and Estonia.
These measures will further strengthen the security of the UK, Ukraine, and our European allies.
I would also like to say a huge congratulations and thank you to all three branches of our military for being named in the Top 5 Apprenticeship Employers this year.
