Her Majesty The Queen visited Dudley Borough three times during her reign.
Her first visit was in 1957, which saw her and Prince Philip drive through Mary Stevens Park, where massive crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the monarch (pictured).
They returned to Dudley in 1977 to mark her Silver Jubilee, before revisiting in 1994 to open the new visitor centre at Dudley Zoo.
Her Majesty’s many visits and engagements were testament to her devotion to her people.
