As a Government Whip, I had to stay neutral for much of the leadership campaign, however, since the contest has now moved out of Parliament - I’m backing Liz and it's a privilege to do so!
Having worked for Liz as her Parliamentary Private Secretary, in both the Trade and Women and Equalities departments, I have seen someone who works hard, someone who delivers, who gets things done and someone who is a team player.
Loyalty and integrity are also very important to me, and Liz has demonstrated this by remaining loyal to her cabinet post, the party and to Boris.
Liz has a strong ambition for the country based on Conservative values, she will cut bills for families, with a pause on energy levies – bringing down average bills by £153, she will cut taxes, including stopping the rise in corporation tax and reversing the new NI tax, she will continue to fight for freedom at home, standing up to identity politics and cancel culture and she will take a tough line with bullies abroad, like we have seen her do against Putin.
