After winning the Conservative Party leadership contest yesterday, Liz Truss will become the Prime Minister of our country later today.

She is committed to putting more money in people's pockets by lowering taxes and ensuring that people struggling with the cost of living receive the immediate support they need.
In the long-term, she has bold plans to grow our economy, level-up our region, bolster our energy security, and ensure that our schools and NHS have the resources they need.
On the world stage, she will continue our steadfast support for Ukraine and invest in our national security by increasing defence spending to 3% of GDP by 2030.
