We have a powerful and dangerous storm approaching the UK.
Strong winds from Storm Eunice could bring gusts of up to 80mph to the West Midlands.
Significant coastal flooding to parts of the west, south-west, and south coast of England, as well as the tidal River Severn, through the early hours of Friday morning and into the early afternoon.
Rail operator West Midlands Railway (WMR) is warning passengers not to travel (Fri 18 Feb) due to the impact of Storm Eunice. The warning follows delays caused to services across the West Midlands as Storm Dudley felled trees and blew debris onto tracks.
WMR is warning of similar disruption tomorrow.
• Please do take extreme care over the next 24 hours – Storm Eunice is a danger.
• We urge people not to drive or walk though flood water – it is often deeper than it looks, can contain unseen hazards and just 30cm of flowing water is enough to float your car.
• You can check your flood risk, sign up for free flood warnings and keep up to date with the latest situation at Gov.uk, call Floodline on 0345 988 1188 or follow @EnvAgencyNW on Twitter for the latest flood updates*
