I hosted 30 local business leaders from the constituency at a networking event in Westminster.
Companies including QMP, Andy Freight, Brierley Hill Crystal, Argus Fire and Prospect Coaches came to London to meet with me on the Commons Terrace.
Items discussed included the regeneration of Lye, business investment, helping young people get into apprenticeships and increasing the amount of skills and employment in the town.
This event brought together a variety of different businesses from Stourbridge and I was delighted so many came.
We all agreed that our business community has a unique community feel, it’s teeming with innovation and opportunities and has a positive outlook too.
Many of our great businesses are based in Lye so the regeneration funding coming with the new devolution deal will be so helpful to improving the area.
It was agreed that Stourbridge and Lye businesses are both an important part of that regeneration, bringing energy and recruitment to the area
Thank you to everyone who came. It was a successful event and I hope to repeat it soon.
