Today was the opening of the Stourbridge Navigation Trust at the Bonded Warehouse.
I was lucky enough to go on a barge trip down the Stourbridge Town Arm Canal from Wordsley to the Bonded warehouse. The views were fantastic as we passed the Rally of Boats - 45 boats in total came out to support the opening weekend.
It was wonderful to see the large crowds of visitors enjoying the various stalls, craft centre, and the classic cars on display.
It is always great to catch-up with the Chief Executive to discuss the importance of the work the Trust does to maintain our canals, as well as how we can invest in the area by the Bonded Warehouse to enhance and improve what we already have.
Furthermore, it was lovely to have the guided tour by former Councillor and Trustee of Stourbridge Navigation Trust, Nicholas Barlow.
What a triumphant opening weekend!
