Today is Ukraine’s Independence Day – marking 31 years since the country declared independence from the Soviet Union.
In the six months since Russia’s invasion, the Ukrainian people have shown immense courage and fortitude as they fight to defend their country’s independence.
They are fighting for the values we share – democracy, freedom, and sovereignty.
With our allies, the UK will continue to stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
