It was great to visit the Halesowen-Dudley Yemeni Community Association today at the invitation of its Vice Chair Saiff Salih to discuss its community work with its leaders and tour the centre.
The Association is located in Halesowen but provides a variety of youth, religious, educational, and community services to the Yemeni community in Cradley and across the wider Dudley borough. This voluntary work saw the Association being awarded a Queen's Award recently.
I would like to say a big thank you to the Association for inviting me to come and see its wonderful centre that is a focus, not just for the Yemeni community in the area, but also for many other organisations too. Congratulations to all involved for the Queens Award - it is well deserved!
