It was great to be back at Old Swinford Hospital School today – which is now in its 355th year!
Last year I met with the first cohort of girls admitted to the school. It was great to catch up with them – now in Year 8 – to see their progress and I am impressed with how they have immersed themselves in school life.
I also saw first-hand the incredible facilities that the school provides at Swinford Court, and I heard about their plans to open a night school to focus on skills and training for local people.
The school continues to go from strength to strength and I would like to say a big thank you to Headmaster Paul Kilbride for inviting me.
I look forward to visiting again in the future.
