Today I visited the Ryemarket Shopping Centre in Stourbridge town centre to meet with Manager Aaron Powell to discuss a variety of issues that constituents have raised with me.
After Aaron and myself reporting these issues to Dudley Council, I am pleased to report the following updates:
- The two lifts in the car park are now working.
- The Ryemarket Shopping Centre now has a set of keys to the car park, so that it shall now be opened on time for shoppers in the mornings.
- New CCTV cameras will be installed across the premises.
- I have raised anti-social behaviour around the centre with the new Dudley Borough Police Commander.
Furthermore, I was delighted to hand over another bleed kit, which included tourniquets, bandages, and gels.
It is one of four kits funded by the family of Ryan Passey. The family are campaigning for awareness about knife crime after their son, 24-year-old Ryan was stabbed to death in Chicago's nightclub in Stourbridge in 2017. And of course, campaigning for Justice for Ryan.
