Fancy doing some volunteering?
I visited the SCOPE charity shop on the High Street on Saturday to meet staff, volunteers and to help out.
The shop needs more volunteers if anyone can spare a few hours please pop in and have a chat. I helped out for an hour or so and met other volunteers. It was good fun and a very friendly shop.
Currently run by assistant managers Marie Young and Lisa Holt, the shop has a wide age range of volunteers, from pensioners to students volunteering for their Duke of Edinburgh award. One volunteer has been there for 20 years.
But they need more volunteers so pop along and have a chat and see how you can help.
