Yesterday Liz Truss was formally appointed Prime Minister by Her Majesty The Queen at Balmoral Castle.
In her speech outside No. 10, Liz outlined her three early priorities.
Liz will grow the economy by cutting taxes, levelling-up all parts of the UK, and building the infrastructure our country needs.
The new PM will also tackle the energy crisis by providing immediate support to people with their energy bills, as well as making the UK’s energy supply more secure in the long-term.
Liz will also work to reduce the NHS backlog and ensure that people can access the NHS services they need.
She will also build on the work of her predecessor by continuing to support Ukraine.
Dealing with these issues will put the UK on the path to prosperity.
She has my full support in delivering on these priorities.
