It was a pleasure to attend an inaugural business networking event held at the Brewers Fayre pub in the town.
The session was organised by James Tye, Managing Director of TP IT & Web Services Limited, and a host of local business owners and managers came along.
I spoke to the group about the fantastic small and big businesses in Stourbridge and how important they are to the local economy and community.
I also spoke about levelling up and the need for more devolution to the West Midlands, as well as my experience in the corporate world.
This was a really useful and informative event for me to attend. These meetings give small businesses support and a place to meet other like-minded people and there is a real need for improving connectivity between businesses to help development in Stourbridge.
I also took a couple of questions and then had a chance to informally chat to everyone afterwards. Entrepreneurs are the foundation stone of our economy locally and nationally. It is important I hear what their concerns and aspirations are.
