On World Book Day, I went to Greenfield Primary School to read to pupils.
I went to the school to read chapter six and the interlude of The Legend of Podkin One Ear to year 4 children.
The book by Kieran Larwood is a fantasy about a rabbit and his siblings.
What a pleasure it was to go to this brilliant school and have the honour of reading to the children on World Book Day.
A lifelong love of reading is a vital skill and the pleasure it brings immeasurable. I hope I did the story proud and I thank the school and the pupils for inviting me. It was the highlight of my week.
